More Things Learned About Ryan

Here’s some more things I’ve learned about Ryan.
- Most of the time, Ryan’s poop looks like dijon mustard.
- Undoing the velcro on his bib’s always startles him, and usually startles him awake.
- He is pretty active when we have tummy time. I thought he would hate it, but he’s ok with it.
- He hates when I wipe him down. Hopefully he’ll like baths more now that his his umbilical cord has fallen off.
- He really really does not like being wet or sitting in a poopy diaper, but he is getting better about not crying while being changed. But if we take too long, he will start crying.
- He prefers to turn left than to turn right. I know this because when I try to breast feed him from the left, he’s always turning to the left, even though clearly milk is to the right. This usually results in a lot of crying until he turns the right way or I convince him to turn the right way.
- We either call him Ryan, Ry Ry or Baby, but he doesn’t really understand we are calling him. But whey I say “wider” he does open his mouth wider.
- He is pretty well behaved. If he wakes up from his nap and isn’t hungry or wet, he’ll just look around in his newborn napper until I check on him.
- He still has no pattern on how often he needs to eat. Sometimes it’s every 3 hours, sometimes every 2 hours and sometimes every hour and half.
- He has no problem staying warm. We have to keep him from getting hot during these hot summer days and nights.
