34 Weeks of Pregnancy

I’m in my 34th week of pregnancy and I’m just getting bigger and bigger by the day. Since it’s getting warmer outside, I am noticing more swelling on my feet and hands, yuck. Other notable things:
- I learned from my prenatal yoga instructor that eating grapes, watermelon and cucumbers help with swelling due to pregnancy.
- I learned from Ideal Bite that dried papaya and clear natural sodas like Jones Lemon Lime
help heart burn.
- BS may be around 5 pounds now.
- I haven’t been plagued with sleep issues, yet, but I’ve been waking up 2-3 times a night to go to the bathroom. It’s very disruptive to my sleep, even though I fall back asleep right away.
- I’m starting to wonder how I will know it’s the time. I feel Braxton-Hicks contractions all the time, but I don’t think real contractions feel like that. The contractions that I’ve been feeling are a tightening, but no pain. I’m pretty sure real contractions involve lots and lots of pain.
- I’m told that I look like my belly is lower by my co-workers, who see me almost every day. I keep telling BS he cannot be early.
- After sleeping on my left side for months, it’s weird when I try to sleep on my right side.
- At my baby shower with my co-workers, Sandy brought her daughter Justine. Sandy was explaining that the baby was inside my stomach so Justine tried to look up my dress to see the baby. Kind of cute.
- I went to June’s bachelorette party dinner at Landmarc. When one of the guys came out to check on the size of our party, he immediately seated us after looking at me because he said I looked, “very pregnant.”
- We also stopped by the Big Apple BBQ at Madison Sqaure Park where we met up with my Lo cousins and Cora looked beyond shocked at how much bigger I’ve gotten in a few weeks. I showed them my swollen feet and hands. Iris told me that her mom had to get her wedding band cut off of her because they were afraid it would cut off her circulation. I guess it’s going to be time for me to stop wearing my wedding band soon, but that will just fuel the baby having babies thing.
- We finally gave in and picked up a book of names
since we don’t have one yet.
