27 Weeks Into My Pregnancy

It’s my 27th week of pregnancy. I’m still feeling great and feeling my little guy getting heavier every once in awhile when I get up in the morning or when I get off the couch after awhile. Notable things this week:
- We test drove the name “Logan” with some family and friends. It’s a name that I like, but Henry, not so much. He likens it to naming our kid “Wolverine”. I’m the only one who really likes it, so we’ve kind of decided that it will be BS‘s middle name. So he’ll be “Something” Logan Sham.
- Baby Sham learned a new trick. He hiccups. I was going to the bathroom around 2am and felt two distinctive hiccups out of him before I crawled back into bed.
- Introduced my baby bump to Shari, Vinny and Elaine, Teddy, Kin and Patti. And I re-introduced it to Ming after two weeks and she was amazed/horrified with how much bigger I got in two weeks.
- I am somewhat concerned about swine flu. But I have no trip to Mexico planned and plan to try to avoid people who have been to Mexico. I’m also amazed that high school students can afford to go to Mexico for Spring Break. I didn’t even go away for Spring Break in college.
- I had two days of very little activity from BS but after one of my late night bathroom stops, he was going crazy. I felt punches and kicks all over the place, non-stop, but I was able to go back to sleep. When I told Henry the next day, he said he noticed too, because he was rubbing my belly before I fell asleep and BS was moving, kicking and punching everywhere.
- I’m not sure how I’m sleeping but my right side is hurting again. I have one of those C shaped pillows, but I think as my belly has gotten bigger, I’m leaning over more now.
- We may be close to finding an apartment.
- About 13 weeks to go, ACK!!!
