I’m 23 weeks in (and only 17 weeks to go) now and the latest developments:
- I didn’t notice this until my last doctor’s appointment, but the side that the baby on is a little bigger.
- Baby Sham only seems to like to hang out on the right side. That’s the side I feel most of the movement and kicks from.
- His kicks are getting more strong. Henry felt one and was kind of shocked.
- I discovered I have PUPPP (Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy). I suddenly woke up Friday night with red itchy bumps on my right side. The next night, they moved to the left side and with more of them that were super itchy. I went to the doctor and she confirmed that it is PUPPP. The bumps are pretty gross and some of the little bumps have combined together to form a big rash like thing. I couldn’t find any reasons on why they start online. They happen to about 1% of pregnant women during the 3rd trimester. I guess the PUPPP doesn’t realize I’m only in my 2nd trimester and they are a little early. If I am lucky they will subside. If I am not, they will spread to my back, butt, arms and legs and will stay until I deliver. Keep your fingers crossed that it is the former and not the latter.
- Most of my belly button is no longer an innie. There is still a little bit on the bottom that is clinging in.
- My linea nigra is becoming more visible.
- I’m waddling more and walking slower.
- If I walk for a long tome wearing flats, it really starts to hurt after awhile. I read that it’s better to wear chunky 2″ heels. It helps to distribute the weight better.
- My belly is getting huge!
- My freckles are staying on the right side, but they are going down my arm and back now.
