Summer Movies

So far this summer (and I use that term loosely), I’ve only seen two movies, Iron Man and Sex and the City.

I really enjoyed Iron Man despite it being very formulaic. It was very entertaining and I discovered I love Terrence Howard, even though I’ve read and heard that he’s not a really nice guy, I can overlook that since he’s pretty hot (yes, I’m that shallow). I’ve always liked Robert Downey Jr. and am glad he’s turned his life around. I was shocked that Obadiah Stone was played by Jeff Bridges, I did not recognize him at all. The minute I saw him, I knew he was the bad guy, it was just so obvious. I actually thought that he killed Tony Stark’s parents too, but Batman is the superhero with the murdered parents. Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t make or break the movie, it could have been any other tall, leggy actress.

I never really watched Sex and the City. Part of it was that I didn’t have HBO for awhile, and then when I had it, I was watching other shows, but they probably weren’t too good because I don’t remember them now. I did, however, watch the finale. It was one of those things you just don’t miss. Ming and I had a girls night and got dinner and watched Sex and the City. I was expecting to enjoy it, but was shocked at how much I did enjoy it. I have co-workers who have seen it multiple times and didn’t get why, but now I do. I actually wouldn’t mind paying to see it again. Random thoughts, I loved Chris Noth and Jennifer Hudson was pretty good too. Why do they call Mr. Big, Mr. Big, if his name is John James Preston? Why does Lily never talk?

Other movies I want to see before summer is gone are:
