Turkish Cuisine
I visited Turkish Cuisine again after over a year. I was having dinner with my sisters, Alan, Cora and Peter and we originally planned to go to John’s Pizzeria, on a Friday. That is not recommended unless you can get reservations, but they also don’t give reservations unless it’s a party of 15 or more. We walked around Hell’s Kitchen for other brick oven pizza places, but couldn’t find any that could seat us. I suggested Turkish Cuisine since we were so close. We got a table without a problem.
We didn’t go with the appetizer platter since we weren’t feeling everything that it came with. Instead we got the spicy hummus and babaganush. Both were very good, the spicy hummus wasn’t all that spicy. For our meals, I think we all enjoyed it except for Monica. Monica got the vegetable casserole without cheese. She didn’t think it was flavorful enough. What’d everybody else get? We had eggplant moussakka, stuffed eggplant, stuffed eggplant with lamb, lamb and chicken combo grill and chicken beyti kebab. We passed on dessert, shocking as it is.
After dinner we went back to my place to play with the Wii. We did start getting a hankering for dessert, so I got Junior’s to deliver a cheesecake. I just love living in the heart of everything!
