Bangkok House
Henry and I ordered from Bangkok House, mostly because there was a 20% discount off of SeamlessWeb for a first order. It is Thai style cooking and supposedly is rated “Top Ten Best Thai Restaurant in NYC” by Citysearch.
Our food came really quickly, within 30 minutes. We ordered Yum Woonsen, Si Eu Noodle and Pad Thai Woon Sen. The Yum Woonsen is glass noodle tossed with lime juice, dried shrimp, onion, fish sauce, chili, ground chicken and two shrimps. It is marked “Recommended” on the menu. It tasted pretty good, but was a little spicy for me. I liked the peanuts that came with it too. The Si Eu Noodle was flat noodles with broccoli, egg and sweet soy sauce. It tasted fine, but wasn’t anything special. The Pad Thai Woon Sen is glass noodle with sautéed egg, dried tofu, turnips, scallions, sprouts, and peanuts. The glass noodles came in one big mass. It was so hard to eat it that we started cutting each bite with scissors to eat it. It was very disappointing.
As a whole, the food was ok, but we probably won’t be ordering from them again, with all our Thai options in Hell’s Kitchen.
