Tourists in NYC

Living in Times Square, I see a lot of tourists. People say New Yorkers are the rude, but have they seen the tourists?? Here’s a short list of what I’ve seen this week:
- Sure we jay-walk, but I hate those stupid tourists that think they can just walk into oncoming traffic and when they get honked at, they have the nerve to either hit the driver’s car or curse at the driver, when they were in the wrong. I’ve seen them both this week.
- The drivers who think they can turn right on red. Please learn our local laws, usually the minute you drive into one of the five boroughs, there are signs warning you that you cannot make right on reds.
- The tourists that stand in the middle of the sidewalk to take pictures during rush hours. Can’t they move to the sides of the street, why must they block the middle.
- The tourists who think that the sidewalks are one way, their way. When I’m going to work, I try to bear right, but I hate those tourists that take up the whole sidewalk and just get in my way.
- When they are approaching the subway, but stand in the stairway, blocking the way for everybody else.
- I hate the ones that ride the subways and lean on the whole pole during rush hour. What makes them think that it is their own personal pole? $2 doesn’t cover it!
- I love being behind the people on escalators who like to pause when they get off the escalator because they don’t know where they need to go? Hey buddy, there are people behind you, the escalator is still moving!
- I think anyone who pushes their baby stroller, with a baby still in it, up an escalator should have their child taken away from them, though some of the offenders are also New Yorkers.
