My Boys
It’s the summer now, there’s nothing on but re-runs. The only shows being recorded on our DVR is Scrubs now, but we quickly watch those and are left with nothing else to watch. There’s only so much Scrubs, Simpsons (has anyone seen any of the Kwik-E-Marts?) and Seinfeld a person can watch.
I started flipping through all the On Demand channels and stopped on TBS, not sure why. The two main shows they had were House of Payne and My Boys. House of Payne was not even remotely interesting to me. My Boys didn’t interest me, but it also didn’t disinterest me. So I decided to watch the pilot for My Boys because there was really nothing else for me to watch.
The pilot wasn’t too bad. It kept me interested, was funny and kind of cute. I ended up watching the next five episodes also. And I am semi-eagerly waiting for the next season to start on July 30th at 10pm on TBS. I thought it was kind of funny to see Eddie McClintock as Hank, PJ’s (Jordana Spiro) love interest. He was just a love interest for Brennan (Emily Deschanel) on Bones. Side note: I find Brendan (Reid Scott) much cuter than Bobby (Kyle Howard), who are both unfortunately younger than me, but not by a lot.
