iPhone

I got to play with an iPhone for the first time today. Mike, Kit, Nick and I had our usual dinner at Kodama and Kit showed off his new iPhone.

You have to press the power button pretty hard to turn it on and to go back. I was worried that I would break the phone by pressing too hard. The first thing I wanted to try to do was to flip the phone sideways and watch the screen flip too. I like the touch screen, it was pretty easy to use, and pretty sensitive. The keyboard was a little harder, even with my smaller fingers. Every time I tried to press the “E”, I kept getting a “W” instead. But I still want one, except it’s damn expensive and I don’t want AT&T. Henry’s had bad luck with it way back when he got his first cellphone. We’re both much happy with Verizon Wireless, even though they have pretty bad customer service. So I won’t think about it until it’s available on Verizon Wireless.

yup, my friend got it. he started waiting in line at 2:30pm, but he went to an at&t store instead of an apple one.

it was pretty cool playing with it. but at it’s price, kind of overrated too, but you gotta play with it and experience the wonder that is the iphone!

ok batmoon, i fixed my error in my comment. it should probably make more sense now. no, i didn’t mean for you to “play with me”, though i’m sure steve wouldn’t mind watching that!

I feel odd commenting but i feel like i have to clear up the home button issue: i realized you (oda) had to push the home button so hard because i had left the plastic cover on and it was inhibiting the home button going in the whole way. you’re welcome to come touch my button with a demure depress at anytime.

and actually mike showed off the phone, but now i’m splitting hairs.
