RSS Feeds

I think RSS Feeds are the best thing in the world. I thought at some point I’ve found everything on the net that I would need until I discovered RSS feeds. Now on my Google Reader, interesting articles just come to me. It’s great. And most times I don’t even have to leave Google Reader to get all the info. But I do have some pet peeves with RSS Feeds.
I dislike:
- RSS feeds that only consist of a title, you gotta give me more than that if you want me to click back to your site
- RSS feeds that have a teaser, but is less than a sentence, it just annoys me and I unsubscribe
- RSS feeds that link back to their homepage for more information instead of directly to their articles, why are you making it harder for me? I just unsubscribe.
- when Google Reader tells me I have 20 something articles to read, but then I find out it’s only really about 5 because sites keep updating the same feed over and over again, so I end up reading the same things, or actually I just click the “Mark All Read”, but it’s a nuisance
- it’s odd, but when they have too many articles it also gets to me, I used to subscribe to the Google News feed, but sometimes I would find after a busy day at work, I’d have over 100 to read, so I unsubscribed from it
- RSS feeds that do not include a title
- an ad for every other article is too much for me
Any one have any other complaints? Or any RSS feeds that are just horrible?
