My Bridal Shower
Ok, I got married in 2003, so my bridal shower was awhile ago. But at that time, I didn’t have my blog yet, though I did have oda.com, but it was a very hectic time and these pictures have been sitting on Henry’s machine and then my machine since May 2003 (someone correct me if it wasn’t May) being forgotten about and just waiting for the right time. I say, better late than never…
If you look through the pics, almost all the people there are family, I have a lot of aunts and cousins. Monica couldn’t make it because she was working in Virginia at the time, so she’s missing from the pics. Jayden and Kaylee were both there too, Kaylee was slowly approaching her first birthday (the day before our wedding and the day after that nasty blackout) and Jayden was approaching four. It’s kind of obvious which ones my co-workers are (Kate, Lauren, Angel and Rita). My friends were there too, but since they are Asian, they kind of look like family too.
My mom planned the menu and there was a lot of food. I remember bringing a lot back for Henry. They also got me a cake with one of my wedding photos on the cake from Baskin Robbins, it was a new thing back then.
Towards the end of the photos you will see a fish bowl. If you look closely, you will see a fish in there. Those were the centerpieces that Iris made. Yes, you heard correctly, the flowers, the fish, the rocks. She even brought her own water. It was simply amazing!

You’re right, I don’t think it was May. The original photos were dated July 11 and July 15. Was it that close to our South Beach trip?
I wonder who looks like a totally different person now? (wink, wink)

It might even be after our South Beach trip since I looked pretty tanned, but funny how all the girls that came with us looked pretty pale.

You’re right, you do look really really tan. I look kind of tan too. And you’re right, everybody else looks so pale. So it probably was July and after our South Beach trip. Why didn’t the other girls get tan?

i’m not sure if it was in may. i have pictures of your bridal shower in my shutterfly account. we all look so different now. well actually i looked 10 pounds lighter and you know who looks like a totally different person. hmmm not sure if you should publish this. hahaha
