Nora’s Bridal Shower
Nora’s bridal shower was on July 29th, but it’s been too hot to sit in front of a computer so I’ve been procrastinating posting the pics. It’s finally bearable for me to be sitting in front of my computer, but I am breaking out into a sweat now. I think it’s from the heat generated from my computer and Henry’s behind me. I’m gonna need a shower when I finally finish!
Nora’s bridal shower was at Yurako Restaurant on Northern Blvd. Nora knew we were going to her bridal shower, so the only element of surprise I could add was to make her wear a mask. The wonderful mask I picked out for her said “TEASE” on it. I actually got the mask during my bridal shower. =) You should have seen the looks people in the restaurant were giving her, I really wish I had my camera but alas I was making sure Nora wasn’t walking into people or inanimate objects. She had no clue where we were because Raquel had reserved the back garden area with a waterfall. There was a tarp over us to keep some of the heat away, but unfortunately the mosquitoes got to Jen and Jass.
It was a very festive occasion with food, games and presents. I won the word game, I’ll admit, I love word games. =) There was a Jeopardy themed game with answers that Raquel had gotten from Alan, but Nora was not to be tricked, she got every question right. We had the ever popular toilet paper wedding dress game which can be a great ice breaker.
There were plenty of presents, but I will have to say parts of my gifts were the most interesting. There was the lingerie (Iris was the only other person who got it for Nora), there was the Penis Pokey book, which Nora originally thought was a children’s book, (I got a good laugh out of that) and finally the cocktail sippers with penises on them. It was great fun for all of us, and yes, Nora has a lot of cousins! Thanks for the presents from the cousins who couldn’t make it like Iris and Virginia.
