Derek Jeter’s 2000th Hit

I went out to dinner at Outback with Henry and his family yesterday. His mother had a cousin (and her family) who recently moved here from China or Hong Kong. While there they had the Met and Yankee game on. So if I happened to be watching the Yankee game, I watched for Derek Jeter‘s 2000th hit. He did hit it, but it was pretty pathetic. I’m sure he was disappointed that that was his 2000th hit. His parents didn’t even think it was. I would be embarassed if that was my 2000th hit (like that would ever happen) and I’m sure he wishes he could do it over again. The Yankees lost that game yesterday but they won today’s game against the Kansas City Royals with a score of 15-4. Go Yankees!
