Grey’s Anatomy – Yesterday
Burke and Cristina dancing together is so cute. But of course something will ruin their happiness. He finds out she still has her apartment. Meredith’s mom admits to an affair with someone else to Meredith. Izzie says she won’t sleep with Alex again. They will only be friends. Bailey brings in her baby. She’s in to check on her OR and interns. A “strange” man hits on Meredith. As she is shaking his hand, Derek punches him because he is Mark (Eric Dane, he’s kind of cute).
Commerical: It’s an Intel commerical, kind of sounds like Kiefer Sutherland‘s voice.
Dr. Webber is furious at Derek for punching someone with his $2 million a year hand. Mark was Derek’s former co-worker and close friend and he slept with Addison. After Dr. Webber learns this, he just makes sure that Derek put his weight behind the punch before he leaves. So Mark and Meredith are the dirty mistresses. Mark notices that when Derek walked in on him and Addision, he just walked away, but when he just talks to Meredith, he’s on the ground bleeding. Mark’s a tough guy and gives himself stitches on his own place. He is a plastic surgeon. They call him McSteamy. George chokes back on some McVomit.
A patient has spontaneous orgasms for a few months now. She has another one in front of her father. Meredith’s patient is dying and he is taping messages to people who have wronged him. Meredith talks to Dr. Webber, trying to find out why her father left. But he supposedly doesn’t know. Mark is trying to take Derek’s patient. Alex and Cristina are trying to read their lips until they hear about the spontaneous orgasm patient. Mark wins and gets to work on the patient with the tumors on his face. Round two goes to the jackass.
Commercial: Rent is coming out on DVD. I can’t wait to get it. I’ve seen it on Broadway twice and the movie once.
Addision catches Alex, George and Cristina trying to spy on the spontaneous orgasm patient. Mark and Addison says he lost his best friend and he also lost the woman he loved. We also find out that Addison stayed with Mark after Derek left. Mark is here to bring her home, he misses her. But she’s in love with her husband and Mark points out that Derek is in love with Meredith and he’s not even trying to hide it. George grew his hair for Meredith. He’s still obsessing over Meredith but he won’t talk to her. Meredith asks Derek why he thinks Addison cheated on her, if he was a bad husband. He was absent. The patient that Derek is working on ends up dying.
Dr. Sloane is going to work on the boy to fix his face, even though he is dead. The patient that Meredith and Burke were working on actually made it with the 1 in 4 changes of survival. Even though he survived, he still wants to say his peace and wants the tapes mailed out. George finally talks to Meredith and asks her to get drinks, but she doesn’t hear him. She is looking through the phone book and rips out a page. She is finding her father. She asks him why he didn’t stay and fight for us.
Derek and Addison end up in the elevator together. She mentions how they haven’t seen each other all day and he says he didn’t want to see her today. Derek admits to Mark, in front of Addison, he didn’t forgive her and didn’t have any obligation to try to forgive him. Mark wants Addison to admit her marriage is over and then she can go hoome with him. Burke also decides to confront Cristina (like Meredith confronted her father) only to find out she gave up her apartment 20 minutes ago. George can tell that Izzie had sex again with Alex. Mark shows up at the bar and sits next to Meredith. He is there hoping Addison will show. Meredith tells him, she won’t, Derek is the kind of guy you don’t leave if you can help it. But he hopes she’s wrong. George goes to talk to Meredith, in her bedroom. He’s sweet and admits he will never stop loving her, wow! She starts to take off his shirt and we see them very close and looking like they may kiss.
I hope we get to see Mark Sloane again on Grey’s Anatomy.
