Grey’s Anatomy – It’s the End of the World

WOW!!! Could they have packed more things into one episode of Grey’s Anatomy???

There was:

• George dreaming of showering with Izzie, Meredith AND Cristina
• Meredith refusing to get out of bed, and Cristina having to come and literally kick and scream at her to get out of bed and go to work, and of course, it worked.
• Bailey back at the hospital because no one wants her interns.
• Bailey’s water breaking, all over George’s shoes.
• Christina Ricci as a paramedic named Hannah who plugs up a guy’s wound with her hand.
• Learning that Meredith and Derek are both waiting for that “feeling” to pass.
• George, Dr. Webber and Derek watching Dr. Bailey’s cervical exam. Dr. Webber and George rejoicing that Bailey is back.
• George calling Bailey’s husband only to have Izzie pick up while answering her patient’s cellphone, who was brought in from a car accident and being worked on by Derek.
• Derek asking Burke if they can call each other by their first names since they’ve worked together, performed surgeries together, Burke’s girlfriend’s best firend is Derek’s ex-girlfriend and Burke saying no, only to find out later that Addison is allowed to call Burke by his first name because Burke likes her but doesn’t like Derek.
• Alex telling Burke, “You want to talk to me, sir.”
• Finding out that Burke’s patient has live ammunition in him and Hannah’s (Christina Ricci’s character) hand inside him maybe the only thing keeping it from exploding.
• Burke telling Grey to walk, not run, out of there to call a code-black.
• Izzie coming to the conclusion that George and her are watchers while Meredith and Cristina are doers. She then decides to do something about it and “does” Alex.
• Derek refusing to evacaute when the bomb squad guy (who happens to be Kyle Chandler of King Kong and Early Edition and yes he does look like the Herman’s Head guy, as Vinny pointed out, they are two different actors) orders him to leave because he’s not afraid of the Chief-Of-Staff but he is afriad of Dr. Bailey if he loses her husband by leaving his scalp open.
• Hannah letting go of the ammunition and Meredith reaching in to hold onto it before it can explode.
• Bailey refusing to have her baby and trying to find her suitcase to go home after she hears about her husband.

For next week’s previews we see Derek’s reaction when he finds out Meredith is holding onto the ammunition now, we hear Dr. Webber say Bailey may lose her baby and Dr. Webber may be having a heart attack. And according to tvguide.com: Derek and Addison are shaken by the arrival of someone from their past; Burke learns Cristina’s secret; and Meredith delves into her family’s dirty laundry after a visit with her mother. I can’t wait!
