Arrested Development Season One

We borrowed Arrested Development Season One from Pat and I really wished I watched it when it originally aired. People at work said it was hilarious and so did some friends, but we didn’t watch it until half way into season two. The only reason we started was because I had finally convinced Henry to get DVR (yes! I had to convince Henry, not the other way around). I was adding in shows to record and added in The Simpsons on Sunday and since Arrested Development aired after it, started recording it too.

The cast looks so young in season one. Maeby (Alia Shawkat) and George Michael (Michael Cera) look so young, Maeby looked like she’s gained some weight and George Michael looks like he’s some weight. As a kid I used to watch The Hogan Family but never thought Jason Bateman was cute, but I think he’s so cute on Arrested Development. Buster (Tony Hale) looks chubbier in season one. Portia de Rossi looks good, much better than her days on Ally McBeal. It’s good to see that she’s added on some weight, she doesn’t look like a skeleton anymore.

Fox announced that it is airing a two-hour season finale (not series!) on February 10, guess it’s the last four episodes. Hopefully we’ll still see more of Arrested Development, hopefully on Showtime since Fox doesn’t realize what a great show they’ve got.
