New Year’s 2006 Party
We all gathered at East to not only celebrate New Year’s, but also Nelson‘s 27th birthday (12/31) and June‘s 30th birthday (1/1).
There was a lot of food at the buffet, I actually only had one plate of food and on Nora‘s second plate, she got extra helpings for me, so I picked off of her plate and had myself a red bean soup for dessert. A bunch of us ended up wining prizes from the raffle, which I’m happy this year did not include VCRs. Alan won a humidifier, George won an electric radiator, Jimmy won a water boiler and Vinny won a DVD player. We all wanted the 42″ plasma TV, but it wasn’t meant to be, this year.
We had pre-purchased tickets for an after-party in the city, but with only one car (my small Jetta) and 14 of us going into the city, we needed more cars. Calls were made to car services, but there weren’t any available cars. We ended up going to a bar/lounge around the corner from East called Play and wasting the pre-purchased tickets.
