South Beach 2003

A bunch of us spent our July 4th weekend in South Beach. We stayed at the Breakwater Hotel. It is on Ocean Drive, right across the street from the beach. But the hotel is pretty old and the rooms look like they are in need of renovations. There also isn’t any air conditioning in the hotel lobby, only in the rooms, so the minute we left our room, we’d feel the humidity and start sweating. And South Beach in July is extremely hot and humid!
Everything in South Beach was pretty expensive, the food, the cabs, the clubs, everything. While in South Beach, we visited Delano Hotel, Opium Garden, did some shopping on Lincoln Road, Nikki Beach, News Cafe and Crobar. I’m sure there was more, but it’s not coming to me right now.
